Menomonie is getting a new bookstore

The store will open the week following Christmas. In the meantime, Bookends on Main will remain open for all of your book and gift needs.

You can meet Dragon Tale Books’ owner Ann Vogl on Friday, Nov. 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bookends on Main in downtown Menomonie. Bookends on Main owner Susan Thurin, who is retiring, will introduce Ann.

A UW-Stout librarian and a former accountant, Ann has been actively involved in the Ice Age Trail Alliance and has hiked the entire 1100-mile trail. She resides in Menomonie.

“I’m proud to be continuing Menomonie’s great independent bookstore tradition,” Ann said. “Susan has done a great job of carrying the torch for more than a decade.”

Dragon Tale Books will be located at 216 Main St. E, Suite A – right next door to the current Bookends on Main, which will close Dec. 27.

A grand opening date for Dragon Tale Books will be announced in a couple of weeks.
