The walls have been painted in the store, which brightens the space. Thank you to Kayla Blue at Patina Vintage Co. for the color advice. The new ceiling tiles and LED lights look more modern.

Rob and I are working on the layout for where all the shelves will go in the shop. The space is much cozier.
Plans for the grand opening on Dec. 31st are moving forward. We have Mark Brown, a harpist from Ridgeland performing from 10-11am; Four local Menomonie writers – Warren Lang, Kate Hearth, Pat Zontelli, and Sandy Lindow are reading from 2-3pm; Rob Bignell, reading “The Legend of Dragon Tale Books” at 5pm; and an early New Year’s Eve Countdown (done to London’s countdown) at 5:59pm. Members of Red Cedar Photography will display some of their works. And we can’t forget about the snacks. More to come.
And of course, we are ordering new books. Please comment with any author or title suggestions. I want to make sure the store has what you like.
Congratulations! Bookstores are special places and this looks like it will be extra nice. Love the wall color. I am the author of a book called I Chose You, Imperfectly Perfect Rescue Dogs and Their Humans and I’d love for you to carry my book. So far it’s doing well and is available to order through Ingram. I live in Oshkosh but would love to come and do a signing next year and even partner with a local rescue or shelter.
