October 5 @ 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm We are kicking off Banned Books Week with a Read-In. We’ve teamed up with Libro.fm and Silent Book Club in protest of censorship. Join us as we read and take action to fight book bans!
It is a Packers bye week so we can relax and read banned books. Bring your favorite banned book, buy one or download the free audiobook to read. We’ll have 30 minute silent reading sessions starting at noon, 1pm and 2pm. Then we can chat about banned books, and create some art that expresses the importance of the freedom to read that we can display in the store. I’ll have some coloring sheets in case you don’t feel creative.
