August 7, 6-7pm. We will discuss Lawn Boy by Jonathan Evison. Coming of age novel; for Pride Month. (On ALA’s top 10 challenged books)
In Person or via Zoom.
Friday, August 9, 4-7pm. During Music on Main.

Meet thriller author David Tindell. He’ll have books for sale and signing.
The thriller: a novel that uses suspense, excitement, apprehension and exhilaration to tell a story. If that’s what you’re looking for in a story, you’ll find it in David’s books.
You will meet men and women who have dedicated themselves to pushing their limits. We will travel with them to exotic places, stand with them as they face great challenges, and do our best to bring them home safely. They are people who are really not that different than you and me, but who perhaps have taken those steps we long to take, toward goals that may seem out of reach, but if they can be attained…well, it will be worth the trip.

Saturday, August 10, 3-4pm.
You are cordially invited to Dragon Tale Books for a Final Five Voting event with Bob Maline from Grass Roots Organizing Western Wisconsin. We won’t be talking about political issues and I can absolutely promise you there won’t be any hurt feelings. I know this is hard to believe, but this is the perfect thing even if you say, “I Hate Politics!”
- Teenagers soon to vote will find it useful.
- I want people to feel respected – the only requirement for the afternoon is when people are describing their feelings about politics that you can listen politely even if you disagree and you’ll get the same courtesy.
- Presentation is about 45 minutes and we’ll allot about 15 minutes for Q&A or discussion.
- My main objective is to make us aware of Final Five Voting. I guarantee this will be a fun, enjoyable afternoon.
Please RSVP and vote in the primary for your favorite author even if you can’t make it. The more votes the better the demonstration of how it works.
