The Book:

The WidowmakerThe “Widow Maker” is a true story about a young couple (Eddie & Shirley) who fall in love at the outset of World War II. It is a story about the greatest generation that unselfishly went to war against a threat to Democracy. The Widow Maker gives the reader a special lesson in the history of World War II written from the perspective of Eddie Tyre, a young Army Air Corps aviator who completes 50 combat missions in the European Theatre.
